Chief Compliance Officer at Greater Sum Ventures

Clint Ward has extensive work experience in compliance and risk management. Clint currently holds the position of Chief Compliance Officer at Greater Sum Ventures since July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Compliance Officer at Keel Point from September 2020 to July 2022. Clint also worked as a Consultant at Mercury Compliance and Risk Services from April 2020 to September 2020.

Before joining Keel Point, they worked at CIBC Private Wealth US as the Chief Compliance Officer from September 2013 to April 2020. During their tenure at CIBC, Clint oversaw the development and implementation of the firm's regulatory compliance program.

Their previous experience includes serving as the Chief Compliance Officer at Sterling Capital Management LLC from June 2004 to September 2013, where they were responsible for compliance oversight of an RIA with over $42 billion in AUM. Prior to that, they served as a Compliance Officer at Evergreen Investments from January 2002 to July 2004, and as a Compliance Manager at Banc of America Capital Management from November 1999 to January 2002.

Clint began their career in the financial industry as a Securities Compliance Examiner at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from May 1995 to November 1998. Clint initially gained experience in the US Navy, serving as an Assistant Disbursing Officer aboard the USS LaMoure County (LST-1194) from August 1988 to August 1990.

Clint Ward completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Texas A&M University, from 1990 to 1993. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Economics from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007.
