Jason Butler

Jason Butler has a strong work experience history in various leadership roles within the payments and technology sector. Jason currently serves as the VP of Payments and Operating Partner at Greater Sum Ventures since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Payments Officer at Ministry Brands from October 2019 to January 2021, where they also served as the EVP Product - Giving & Payments from April 2016 to October 2019, and as the Chief Technology Officer from November 2012 to April 2016. Before Ministry Brands, they worked as the Chief Payments Officer at Community Brands from October 2019 to January 2021. Jason also had a lengthy tenure at FedEx Services where they held various roles including Programmer Analyst/Advisor from June 2008 to November 2012, Sr. Programmer Analyst from June 2003 to June 2008, and Programmer Analyst from June 1999 to June 2003. Additionally, they were a Founding Partner at SimpleGive, LLC from June 2006 to October 2012.

Jason Butler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Christian Brothers University, which they attended from 1995 to 1999. Jason further pursued their education and obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2003 to 2005.
