Christopher Gomes, OCT, is an experienced educator and sports official with a diverse background in teaching and hockey officiating. Currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at the Halton District School Board since October 2020, Christopher has demonstrated strong leadership and mentoring skills while also officiating hockey at the Level IV Hockey Canada level for the Greater Toronto Hockey League since 2007. Previous roles include positions at the City of Mississauga in Parks and Recreation, Torbram Electric Supply Corporation as an Inside Sales Representative, and Costco Wholesale Canada in internal marketing and administration. Greater Toronto Hockey League

Founded in 1911, the Greater Toronto Hockey League is a non-profit organization and is the largest amateur minor hockey league in the World. There are over 40,000 participants registered annually in the GTHL. GTHL jurisdiction spans Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Vaughan, and Markham and includes players ranging from the ages of 4-20. The GTHL celebrated its 100th anniversary in the 2011-12 season.
