Karen Wawrzaszek CFP®, CEPA, CTFA serves as the Regional Director for Foundation & Institutional Advisory at Northern Trust Wealth Management since September 2023. With extensive experience in philanthropy and investment management, Karen holds several board positions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors for Teach For America and Board Member for both the Student Conservation Association and Global Impact. Karen is also the Chair of the Investment Committee for the Meyer Foundation and co-Chair of the Professional Advisory Council for the Greater Washington Community Foundation. Additionally, Karen is a founder and CEO of The Pomona Society and actively participates in various thought leadership roles related to ESG, philanthropy, and financial literacy. Karen’s educational background includes a BA in Finance from Wichita State University and certifications in financial planning and trust estate planning.
