Andy Brown

Andy Brown is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in risk management, environmental management, and flood risk services. Currently serving as the Knowledge Risk Management and Resilience Lead at Greater Wellington Regional Council since February 2019, Andy provides strategic advice on issues such as flooding, drought, and water quality. Prior to this role, Andy held leadership positions at Cardno, where responsibilities included managing earthquake resilience projects and delivering Wellington's potable water resilience programme. Previous experiences also encompass operational roles with the British Army and Natural Resources Wales, showcasing expertise in flood incident response, health and safety, and project management across various sectors. Andy holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath.
