Larry Morgan

Staff Scientist at Green Bank Observatory

Larry Morgan is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in the fields of astronomy and data assimilation. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Green Bank Observatory since March 2019, Larry has also held the position of Senior Scientist in Data Assimilation at the Met Office since November 2013, focusing on the development and assessment of methods for integrating conventional observations into global weather prediction. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Hertfordshire and Liverpool John Moores University, as well as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Saint Mary's University and an NRAO Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. Larry holds a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Kent and an MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Sussex.
