The Circles Coach is a leader whose primary role is to work within the Circles community, supporting Circle Leaders, Allies, and volunteers. The Coach is the person on whom participants and volunteers call when they have questions or concerns within the Circles community. The Coach has experience working with diverse socio-economic communities, a deep knowledge of poverty, skills in community organizing and volunteer management, and an awareness of the social service resources in the community.

FROM CIRCLES USA:

· Promote a supportive, inclusive, empowering, positive culture within the Circles community so all Circle Leaders, Allies, and other volunteers feel supported

· Have the ability to relate authentically and effectively with people from diverse socio-economic class lines

· Regularly attend and provide leadership in Resource Team and community meetings

· Routinely delegate rather than “do it his or her self”

· Maintain open and honest communication within the Circles community and work to mediate issues and resolve conflict when needed

· Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with Circle Leaders, Allies, Staff, Resource Team members and the community at large

· Develop a sense of community in which the staff person is a part rather than the leader

· Possess strong organizational skills in managing complex tasks with autonomy

· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Exercise a flexible schedule coordinated with The Salvation Army that meets the needs of both the Circles Green Bay Community and TSA.

· Ensure confidentiality in all communications – both written and oral

· Assist with interviews, selection and enrollment of Circle Leaders and Allies

· Train and support Circles facilitators

· Stay relaxed in situations of stress or conflict

· Develop a supportive, empowering culture consistent with Circles values and goals

· Runs the weekly Circles meetings/fills Leader/Volunteer roles to ensure success of Circle’s Green Bay Monday nights

o Potentially utilize Planning Center Online, or a different system which works for Elizabeth to forecast personnel and success of calendar

· Assist the Big View Team in coordinating the monthly Big View meetings

· Report regularly to the chapter’s full-time Coach, Matthew Hastreiter, and complete additional tasks as assigned by full-time Coach

· Monitor e-mail and Freedcamp (project management tool) to remain in contact with Circles USA for support and best practices

o Attend Circles USA Monthly Coach’s support call when available

· Staff point of contact for Big View and Services resource teams. Recruit volunteers for team, liaise with team chairs and provide support as necessary. Act as interim chair if chair position is not filled.

· Lead Programming Team of Circle Leaders to plan Monday nights/weekly programming.

o Coordinate with Big View chair on Big View nights.

· Continue to coach Circle Leaders and provide support to Circle community: relationship management, goal progress, track attendance, etc.

· Coordinate with Matthew on day-to-day, week-to-week life of Circles Green Bay

o Connect weekly on case management concerns and respond and lead situations swiftly.
