Julian Keites

Julian Keites has over 30 years of work experience in the energy sector. Julian began their career in 1990 as an Oil Reservoir Geologist and Senior Field Engineer at Schlumberger. In 1994, they moved to Gerrard National Intercommodities as an Energy Futures Dealer. In 1999, they joined Cargill Investor Services as Head of Energy Futures. In 2003, they became Director of Energy Derivatives at Newedge, where they provided effective leadership and had a consistent track record of delivering on complex projects. In 2009, they were Director of Global Derivatives and Embedded Physical Origination and Marketing at World Fuel Services. In 2017, they joined World Kinect Energy Services as Director of Energy Risk, based in London. Julian focused on forward price stability and energy sustainability, and was an advocate of renewable revolution and particularly long term PPAs. In 2021, they became Director of Investment Strategy and Structuring at Onyx Capital Group. Julian is currently Director of Sustainability at Green Biofuels Limited UK.

Julian Keites has a long and varied educational history. In 1987, they obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) in Applied Geology from the University of Plymouth. In 1992, they earned an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College London. In 2017, they earned their ERP from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). In 2020, they obtained a Sustainability and Climate Risk degree from the same institution. Additionally, they hold certifications in Sustainability and Climate Risk from GARP SCR Program, Dive Leader from BSAC, and Energy Risk Professional (ERP) from GARP ERP Program.
