Matt Power has extensive experience in the media industry. Matt began their career as a Faculty Member at East Carolina University in 1991. In 1996, they became Editor-In-Chief at Custom Builder Magazine. Matt then moved to The New York Times Magazine Group as a Contributing Editor in 1997. In 1999, they joined Hanley Wood as a Senior Editor, where they won four Neal Awards and more than 40 editorial awards for writing, researching, and reporting for BUILDER magazine. In 2006, they became a Writer and Editor at Moviemaker Magazine. Most recently, they have been Editor In Chief at Green Builder Media, LLC since 2007, where they are responsible for editorial planning for both print and online creative efforts.
Matt Power received a Bachelor's degree in Theater from the University of Southern Maine in 1986 and a Master's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Florida College of Journalism in 1993.
