Oyun Sanjaasuren is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in public service and non-profit management. Currently serving as the Director of External Affairs at the Green Climate Fund since July 2018, Sanjaasuren is also the Board Chair of Special Olympics and has been instrumental in advancing children's rights with disabilities through legislative initiatives in Mongolia. As the Head of the Zorig Foundation, Oyun has dedicated over sixteen years to promoting democracy and good governance. Sanjaasuren's political career includes a significant tenure as a Member of Parliament, where Oyun led efforts on anti-corruption and transparency reforms. Their international influence is marked by their role as the first President of the United Nations Environment Assembly and as Minister of Environment and Green Development, where Oyun drafted the Green Development Strategy. Sanjaasuren holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Science in Geochemistry from Charles University.
