Aivar Ruukel

Aivar Ruukel is an experienced professional in the ecotourism sector with a diverse background. Currently serving as an Auditor at Green Destinations since March 2021, Aivar has been the Founder of Soomaa.com since December 1992. Aivar also holds the position of Board Member at the Global Ecotourism Network and the Estonian Dugout Boat Society, further contributing to the Ecotourism Associations Network. Previous roles include Local PAN Parks Business Partner and Tripbod local guide in Soomaa National Park, as well as Board Member for the Estonian Ecotourism Network. Aivar served as a lecturer at the Estonian University of Life Sciences, teaching Nature Tourism. Aivar's academic background includes a Master's degree in Nature Tourism from Eesti Põllumajandusülikool.
