Ian Burman

Ian Burman has extensive experience in compliance, audit, and risk management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Compliance Manager at Green GEN Cymru since May 2025, Ian previously held various senior roles at SSE plc, including Senior Auditor and Deputy Group Compliance Operations Manager. Prior to that, Ian was Risk and Compliance Manager at Swansea Building Society and Trading Assurance Manager at OVO, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with policies and enhancing control environments. Ian began the career at EDF Energy, progressing through roles such as Governance Policy Analyst and Regulation Stakeholder Advisor. Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Cardiff University and a Certified Internal Auditor qualification from The Institute Of Internal Auditors.
