Dain Hansen has a diverse range of experiences in government affairs and leadership roles. Currently serving as Executive Vice President at IAPMO, Dain oversees global policy and communication interests. Hansen also holds positions on the Board of Directors at various organizations, including DIGDEEP Water, Green Building Initiative, and Alliance for Water Efficiency. Additionally, Dain serves as President of the Utah State Society, fostering connections within the Utah community. Prior to their current roles, Hansen worked as a Business Ambassador for Governor Gary Herbert (R-UT) and as a Director of Government Relations at NEMA. Their background showcases a strong dedication to advocating for various industries and promoting collaboration across different sectors.

The Green Building Initiative (GBI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the built environment and reduce climate impacts through exceptional education, tools, standards, and assessments that deliver sustainable, healthy, and resilient buildings. Our strategy for accomplishing our goals involves education and promotion on the use of GBI's Green Globes certification program for commercial buildings and GBI's Guiding Principles Compliance and third-party assessment program for federal building sustainability requirements.
