Green Hills AEA is one of 9 intermediate education agencies in the state of Iowa. Green Hills is located in the southwest corner of the state, with the main office located in Council Bluffs, and regional offices located in Avoca, Creston, Council Bluffs, Glenwood, Missouri Valley, Osceola, and Red Oak.

Employees of the AEA provide educational services to administrators, teachers, students and parents in the 52 public and non-public school districts throughout the region. We employ school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, special education consultants, educational audiologists, early childhood consultants, along with teachers and subject-specific consultants serving in various capacities.

The Special Education and Support Services team at Green Hills AEA provides tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs across 52 public and non-public school districts in southwest Iowa. This multidisciplinary team, which includes school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, early childhood specialists, school social workers, interventionists, and special education consultants, collaborates to develop and implement personalized intervention strategies, conduct assessments, and deliver essential services aimed at promoting academic and social success for students.
