Serge Plagnol has a diverse work experience in the software and gaming industry, starting as a Software Engineer at Infogrames in 1992. Serge then moved on to roles such as Software Engineer and Technical Director at Adeline Software International, where they worked with Windows 95 DirectX technology. Serge also worked as a Technical Director at No Cliche before becoming an Associate Director of Products Development at Sega, where they led a team responsible for developer relations. Currently, Serge is the Director of Engineering for Europe at Green Hills Software, with previous roles including Engineering Manager and Senior Field Application Engineer.
Serge Plagnol obtained a Master of Engineering in Embedded Software from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse in 1994, followed by a Master of Science in Signal Processing and Machine Intelligence from the University of Surrey in the same year. Prior to that, they completed their Math Sup & Math Spé in Mathematics & Physics at Lycée Louis le Grand from 1989 to 1991. Serge also graduated from High School in Rainier, Oregon in 1988.
