Kirk Shields

Kirk Shields has over 30 years of work experience. Kirk began their career at United Parcel Service as an Operations Supervisor from 1986 to 1992. Kirk then worked as a Financial Analyst at Capital Strategies, Inc. from 1996 to 1997. Shields then joined Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) as a Senior Business Analyst from 1997 to 2004. Kirk continued their career at Central Vermont Public Service Corp. as a Manager of Power Supply from 2004 to 2012. Currently, Shields is working at Green Mountain Power as the Director of Development, Risk Management & Fleet Operations. Kirk is responsible for leading distributed generation and advanced battery storage development for customers, with a focus on building out solar PV portfolio since 2013.

Kirk Shields earned their Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Finance and a minor in Computer Science from Southern Connecticut State University from 1994 to 1996. Kirk then pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the College of St. Joseph from 2003 to 2005.
