Jose Diaz is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in education and software development. Currently serving as a Hack.Diversity Fellow at Hack.Diversity, Jose was awarded the title of Most Valuable Hacker and selected from 500 applicants for the competitive 2024 fellowship program. Previous experience includes an internship as a Back End Developer at CarGurus and a role as a Software Engineer at Resilient Coders, where collaboration on scalable web applications occurred. Prior to transitioning into technology, Jose worked as Lead Preschool Teacher at Heath School, facilitating social skills and implementing inclusive, age-appropriate activities for young children. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from UMass Boston.
