Avalon Jade Theisen

Avalon Jade Theisen is currently an intern at the U.S. Department of State and has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and PhD student at Arizona State University since August 2021, contributing to 19 courses across various topics in religion. Avalon has also been active as a Graduate Student Researcher, presenting research on Christian environmentalism at the American Academy of Religion. Additional roles include Book Reviews Coordinator for the Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, Educator at Athena's Advanced Academy, Fellow with Peace First, and Founder of Conserve It Forward, Inc. Avalon has a history of public speaking at significant venues such as the White House and the United Nations Climate Change Conference, and has previously served as an Advisory Board Member for Project Green Schools. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and multiple master's degrees in Religion and Non-Profit Leadership, with ongoing pursuits for a PhD at Arizona State University.
