Regulatory Counsel, CPG at Green Thumb Industries

Julia Crowley has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Most recently, they worked at Green Thumb Industries (GTI) as a Regulatory Counsel for the CPG sector. Prior to that, they held the position of Regulatory Compliance Manager in the same company.

Before joining GTI, Julia worked at Temescal Wellness, where they served as Associate Compliance Counsel and Compliance Specialist. In these roles, they focused on ensuring state and local compliance for a vertically integrated cannabis company operating in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Julia also has experience working with government agencies. Julia worked at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. FDA as Lead Regulatory Counsel, where they collaborated on drafting agency rules and guidance documents. Julia also managed the application review program and conducted retail compliance inspections.

In addition, Julia has volunteer experience as a Pro Bono Attorney at Chesapeake Legal Alliance, where they conducted research to support litigation on cases related to the health of the Chesapeake Bay.

Julia started their career as a Law Clerk at the US EPA and later interned at Hecker & Associates, LLC. Julia also held executive and leadership roles in organizations such as Periclean Scholars and Pi Sigma Alpha.

Furthermore, Julia has interned at the Library of Congress, specifically in the Kluge Center for Scholarly Programs. Here, they conducted research on the impact of LEED certified schools on students' ecological-mindedness.

Lastly, Julia gained experience in the energy sector as an Intern at the U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program.

Julia Crowley began their education at Flint Hill School, where they obtained a High School Diploma in 2007. Julia then attended Elon University from 2007 to 2011, majoring in Political Science and Environmental Studies and earning a B.A. degree. Following that, from 2011 to 2014, they attended Wake Forest University School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with a specialization in Environmental Law. Most recently, in 2020 and 2021, Julia pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Policy at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
