Erik Levi has worked in retail products for over 20 years. Experience includes working in seasonal markets, large chain store departments, managing a producer-only market, and opening stores in Ohio and Oregon.
In 2000, he was hired by New Seasons Market in Portland and helped open their flagship store. Since then he has served as a department manager in six of their stores, has hired and trained several produce managers still in place, and has managed crews of between 8-20 people. He has opened five New Seasons Market stores and has assisted in opening two others.
Currently the Director of Produce for Green Zebra Grocery, he has opened a small efficient produce department. He has worked with local farmers and sales reps, and has a full understanding of consumer demands, merchandising labor percentages, and inventory needs for varying sales levels. With that knowledge, he has made purchasing decisions about local and sustainable products while meeting sales projections.
