Coen de Ruiter

Coen de Ruiter is an accomplished executive with extensive experience spanning various leadership roles in notable organizations. Currently serving as the General Director of Greenchoice since November 2020, Coen previously held the position of General Director at Independer from February 2017 to March 2020 and at Apenheul from July 2009 to January 2017. Coen has also contributed to Greenchoice as a member of the Board of Advisors and served as Director at Max Havelaar, focusing on market development and public awareness for Fairtrade in the Netherlands. Coen's earlier career at Unilever included roles in talent management, brand leadership, and national account management, alongside a tenure as Brand Manager for Elida Andrélon. Coen holds a degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and completed VWO at VCL - Den Haag. Additionally, Coen shares expertise as a speaker at Speakers Academy since 2011.
