Brenda Reetz

CEO at Greene County General Hospital

Brenda Reetz serves as Greene County General Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer. She began her career at Greene County General Hospital in May 2012 as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, she worked as an ER nurse manager at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro, OR, and as a nursing leader for Providence Medical Group in Portland, OR. She worked locally at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes and at Bloomington Hospital. In addition, she has traveled across the United States as a traveling nurse. A White River Valley High School graduate, Brenda received a nursing degree from Vincennes University in 1999. She continued her education at Oregon Health and Sciences University, Chamberlain School of Nursing, and Washington State University. She has a bachelor’s degree from Chamberlain School of Nursing and a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University. Brenda has a genuine love for Greene County and has grown the hospital substantially since becoming CEO. Her dedication to Greene County and Greene County General Hospital, working on the ground level as an approachable leader, makes her employees feel like her family. She contributes the hospital’s success to the employees and she is proud to serve Greene County as this is her home. Brenda’s exceptional leadership has not gone unnoticed. In 2019, she received the Indiana Rural Health Association’s Leadership Award and in 2020 she received the American Hospital Association’s Grassroots Champion Award for exceptional leadership. Brenda also serves as the Chair of South Central Region 8’s Workforce Board, serves on the Indiana Rural Hospital Association board and serves as District President and board member for the Indiana Hospital Association.
