Christina Bateman

Christina Bateman is a dedicated educator currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Orange County Public Schools since August 2023, where responsibilities include providing individualized support in a diverse classroom, implementing the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, and conducting assessments to monitor student progress. Additionally, Christina teaches summer school at Greene County Public Schools, where lesson plans focus on mathematics, reading, and writing for a small group of students while addressing diverse learning needs. Previous experience includes various roles in education, including student teaching, substitute teaching, and working as a teaching assistant for English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Virginia and an Associate of Science Degree from Piedmont Virginia Community College, complemented by early experiences in the cosmetology industry.
