Shane Hammond

Shane Hammond, Ed.D, serves as the Associate Dean for Student Success at UMass Amherst College of Education, where responsibilities include developing and coordinating initiatives for undergraduate and graduate student success through innovative and research-informed approaches. In addition to this role, Shane also teaches graduate courses in Higher Education Administration and has held positions such as Graduate Program Director and Co-Principal Investigator for curriculum development projects in Afghanistan. Past experiences include serving as Dean of Students at Greenfield Community College, Executive Vice President at GBI Marketing, and Associate Director of Financial Aid at American University. Shane holds a Doctor of Education from The George Washington University, along with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
