Lauren Metz

Lauren Metz is an experienced education and communications professional with a strong background in teaching, supervision, and outreach. Currently serving as a Graduate Assistant Supervisor for Pre-Practicum Student Teachers at Boston College since August 2016, Lauren oversees undergraduate and graduate students, facilitates lesson planning, and supports connections between theory and practice in education. Concurrently, Lauren has held various roles at Greenheart International since 2014, including Outreach and Communications Coordinator, where responsibilities include drafting communications, managing donor relations, and coordinating events. Lauren's previous experience also encompasses roles as a Language Arts Teacher at Western Springs District 101, a corps member with Teach For America, and a Private Tutor, showcasing a diverse skill set in curriculum development, student engagement, and educational support. Lauren holds a Master's degree in School Counseling & Mental Health Counseling from Boston College and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
