The Greening of Detroit
Jenna Johnson is an experienced urban forester currently working at The Greening of Detroit since March 2022. Prior roles include serving as a Lead Nature Preschool Teacher at Green Apple Garden Playschool and as an Outreach Coordinator for Mason-Lake Conservation District, where Jenna planned volunteer events, developed outreach materials, and educated the public on invasive species. Jenna's background includes positions at the Department of Natural Resources as a Forest Health Technician, and multiple roles with the U.S. Forest Service as a Botany Crew Leader and Botany Intern, focusing on invasive plant management. Jenna holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Education from Concordia University-Portland and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management from Grand Valley State University.
