Andrey Zarur

Andrey Zarur is the Co-Founder, President & CEO of Greenlight Biosciences Inc. since December 2008. Andrey is also the Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lumicell since January 2010. Additionally, they have served as a Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management since January 2002. From February 2014 to June 2020, they held the position of Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board of Directors at Solid Biosciences. Andrey was a Member of the Board at the Museum of Science, Boston from 2008 to 2018. From February 2006 to February 2014, they served as Managing Partner at Kodiak Venture Partners. Andrey Zarur was also the Co-Founder & Vice Chairman of the Board at Better Place, Inc. from January 2007 to June 2013. Andrey was the Chairperson of the Board and Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Allegro Diagnostics, a company acquired by Veracyte, Inc. in 2013. Andrey worked as a Senior Strategic Advisor at the National Institutes of Health from 2008 to 2012. Andrey Zarur was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum from October 2005 to October 2010.

Andrey Zarur obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical and Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Andrey also attended the Harvard Kennedy School in 2007-2008, specializing in Global Policy. Andrey Zarur received a Doctor of Letters Honoris Causa from Bryant University in 2021. Additionally, they are a member of The American Association of Immunologists.
