Marta Ortega-Valle

Marta Ortega-Valle has a diverse work experience in various industries. Marta currently holds the role of Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at GreenLight Biosciences since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) from 2021 to 2023, and as the Human Health General Manager from 2020 to 2021 at the same company. From 2016 to 2020, Marta worked as the Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development at GreenLight Biosciences.

In addition to their roles at GreenLight Biosciences, Marta has also served as a Board Member at Ganeshalab since 2019. Marta co-founded and served as the Vice President of a company called GreenLight Biosciences, Inc. from 2010 to 2015. Before that, they were an Entrepreneur in Residence at Kodiak Venture Partners from 2008 to 2010.

Marta began their career at Accenture Espa?a in 1997 as a Consultant. Marta then moved to Accenture in 2001 where they worked as a Manager, responsible for various projects and strategic initiatives. Marta played a key role in Accenture's post-IPO strategic initiative, as well as working with clients such as Novartis and Hershey's. In 2004, they joined Accenture France as the Senior Manager and Head of Business Intelligence Group in Paris, where they led a team of 50 people and contributed to the growth of the group.

Marta Ortega-Valle completed their Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. Marta later pursued their Master Thesis Project in Electrical Engineering as an Erasmus student at UPC in France from 1996 to 1997. In 2007 and 2008, Marta attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they earned an MBA degree.
