Scientist Iii, Fungal Mode Of Action Lead at GreenLight Biosciences

Yufeng (Francis) Fang has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Yufeng (Francis) started as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech and Virginia Bioinformatics Institute, where they focused on studying oomycetes and their genetic manipulation. Yufeng (Francis) then joined Oregon State University as a Visiting PhD Student. Later, Yufeng worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University Medical Center, where they applied their genetic platform expertise to research in genetics and genomics. Currently, they are working at GreenLight Biosciences as a Scientist, leading the fungal mode of action team in the design of fungicide targets and the development of bioassays and experimental tools for the establishment of next-generation fungicides.

Yufeng (Francis) Fang received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Virginia Tech from 2010 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Microbiology at Nankai University.
