Bridey Maxwell, Ph.D. has a strong background in plant science and biotechnology. Bridey started as a Technician at Whitehead Institute in 1992, then moved on to work as a Postdoc at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bridey joined Monsanto Company in 2007 and held various roles such as Intrinsic Yield Lead, Reproductive Growth and Development Trait Lead, and Bioassay Development Lead. Most recently, they served as the Head of Plant Science Innovation at GreenLight Biosciences, Inc. Bridey's experience includes leading multidisciplinary teams, developing budgets, negotiating scientific strategies, and managing high-throughput bioassays for novel gene regulation techniques in plants.

Bridey Maxwell received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology from Smith College. Bridey went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Molecular Biology from UC San Diego in 2001.
