Chris Tierney

Chris Tierney has over two decades of experience in the biosciences industry, starting with internships at BASF in 1998. Chris then worked at Icoria, where they held roles as a Senior Assistant Scientist/Technician and Associate Scientist. Moving to Monsanto Company, Chris progressed through various logistics and operations roles, including leading automated greenhouse logistics teams. Chris later joined Novozymes as a Special Projects Portfolio Manager before taking on roles at GreenLight Biosciences, where they currently serve as the Director of R&D Operations.

Chris Tierney completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1996 to 2000. In 2012, they obtained a Project Management Certificate from North Carolina State University. In 2015, they completed the UNC Business Essentials Certificate Program in Business Administration and Management at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Leading Others from the Leadership Pipeline Institute.
