Ying-Yu Liao, PhD has a diverse work experience starting as a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University in 2013. Ying-Yu then continued their career with roles at Auburn University as a Visiting Researcher, UF/IFAS Plant Diagnostic Center as a Plant Disease Diagnostical Intern, and the University of Florida as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. Ying-Yu later joined North Carolina State University as a Postdoc, Project Manager, Bioinformatician, and Molecular Biologist. Ying-Yu then went on to complete their Master's degree in Plant Pathology at the University of Florida from 2014 to 2016, followed by achieving their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Pathology/Phytopathology from the University of Florida from 2017 to 2020. In addition, they obtained certifications in North Carolina as a Public Operator License and Ground Pesticide Applicator.
