Elizabeth Johnston has a diverse background in technical support and forensic investigation. Currently serving as a Crime Scene Investigator at the Greensboro Police Department since September 2023, Elizabeth previously held multiple technical support roles at companies such as iboss, Qualys, and Qlik. Elizabeth's earlier experience includes working as an IT Technician at Quality Chemical Laboratories and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Toledo, where instruction focused on philosophy courses. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Philosophy from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a Master of Arts in Philosophy from The University of Toledo, and several associate degrees in Forensic Science, Computer Science, and Criminal Justice from Wake Technical Community College.

Our officers patrol designated areas of the city and are responsible for the prevention of crime, investigation of offenses, and apprehension of violators. Officers also respond to automobile accidents, crimes in progress and other emergency situations, and are required to exercise judgment and initiative in handling both routine and complex problems.
