Manu Kalia

Manu Kalia has gained extensive experience in various roles and industries throughout their career. Manu currently works as a Sr. Data Strategist at Infosys, where they provide thought leadership in data science and is involved in the entire software development life-cycle. Prior to this, they were the Head of Data Science at Cambrian Futures, Inc., a seed-stage company focused on employing ML and software agents for data privacy protection and developing NLP tools. Manu co-authored 8 patent applications in the field of data privacy protection using data science and machine learning.

Manu also has experience as a Co-founder and Data Scientist at Greensparc Inc., where they utilized ETL, data cleaning, and neural net modeling to deliver real-time energy markets data for data center operators. Manu achieved significant energy cost savings and increased renewable energy consumption. Additionally, they worked as a Co-founding Partner and Quantitative Modeler at Power Choice Inc., where they modeled the city's electricity tariff structure and successfully bid on multiple energy program RFPs.

In their earlier roles, Manu served as a Quantitative Analyst and CFO at Crownbutte Wind Power Inc., where they built wind energy development models and raised private capital. Manu also worked at ARC International as an FP&A Director and Interim CFO, overseeing quant models for various functions. At Tradeworx, Inc., they served as the CFO and Lead Business Analyst, developing proprietary trading tools and transitioning to a quant hedge fund and high-frequency trader.

Manu's career also includes experience at Commonwealth Associates as a Private Equity Principal, focusing on the telecom and semiconductor industries, and at SANFORD C. BERNSTEIN LIMITED as an Equity Research Associate. Manu started their career at Lucent Technologies, where they worked as a Quantitative Models Planning Manager, leading a cross-functional executive team in scenario-based planning for optical-fiber networks.

Manu Kalia attended General Assembly in 2019 and completed the Data Science Immersive Cohort 7 (SF) program. Previously, they pursued an MBA from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth from 1993 to 1995, focusing on General Management. Prior to their MBA, Manu Kalia completed their undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College from 1989 to 1993, earning an A.B. cum laude degree in Engineering Sciences.
