Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith is a seasoned legal professional specializing in environmental law, insurance recovery, and related litigation. Currently serving as Partner and Chair of the Environmental Practice Group at Greenspoon Marder LLP since March 2024, Christopher provides counsel on environmental liabilities and litigation for the leading waste management company in the United States. Previously, Christopher held partner positions at WOLF WALLENSTEIN, PC, where similar advisory roles were undertaken, and at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, where successful claims for insurance recovery on behalf of major public pension funds were managed. Early career experience includes significant roles at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Squire Patton Boggs, and Greenberg Glusker, focusing on environmental and commercial litigation. Christopher earned a JD from Seattle University School of Law and a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from San Diego State University.
