John Tibbitts

John joined GreenSquare in 2015 as an independent director and became a board member in 2016. He chairs the Development Committee and the Board of GreenSquare Homes.

John brings over 30 years’ experience in senior roles within commercial development and construction businesses, including Group Director of Business Development at Hyde Housing Association, Managing Director of Kier Project Investment, and CEO of a public/private joint venture company at Skanska.

Outside of GreenSquare, John is a non-executive director with Quercus 7, a Local Authority Trading Company set up to invest in residential and commercial property, and Quercus Housing, which is an affordable homes provider.

Alongside his work as a non-executive director, John advises public, private, and third sector organisations on property strategy, the delivery of development projects and programmes, development funding, property asset management, and governance.

John is enthusiastic about building communities and delivering homes of all tenures, particularly for those in need of good quality housing that is affordable and represents value for money.
