In 2011, they began working for Siemens as a USA & LATAM Project Manager for SCADA and Market Management, a USA Product Manager for Power Systems Protection, and a USA Business Development Leader for Power Protection, Automation, and Metering. In 2020, they joined Hitachi Energy as a USA Sales & Business Development Manager for Microgrids & Battery Energy Storage - Grid Edge Solutions. Most recently, in 2022, they began working for GreenStruxure as the USA Director of Energy & Sustainability Project Development (Microgrids, PV, BESS, Gensets, CHP, EV). Gaston's mission is to accelerate the adoption of sustainable energy services worldwide, starting in the USA.
Gaston Ortega's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Washington State University, which they obtained between 1999 and 2005. Gaston also attended Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and UADE in 2002, Swansea University in 2000-2001, and Colegio Industrial PIO IX between 1992 and 1998.
