Miguel Garza

PV Engineering Manager at GreenStruxure

Miguel Garza has a long and varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Principal PV Engineer for GreenStruxure, where they are in charge of design and performance simulation of PV plants for C&I microgrids in the U.S. From 2015 to 2022, they worked at Galt Energy - Energía Solar in various roles, including Lead Engineer, Lead C&I Engineer, and PV Engineer. In their roles, they led the Engineering Design Team for C&I scale PV distributed generation projects, developed Excel and CAD tools/templates, and provided PV design and technical support. In 2014, they worked as a PV Engineer for POWERSTEIN SA DE CV, where they designed the largest SolarEdge-based installation in Mexico. From 2011 to 2014, they worked as a Coordinator for Fideicomiso para el Ahorro de Energía Eléctrica, where they served as a technical consultant in energy audits and diagnosis for medium-voltage clients. In 2010, they had internships at Nemak and Carl Zeiss Vision.

Miguel Garza attended the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León from 2005 to 2011, where they earned an Ingeniero en Mecatrónica degree. During this time, they also attended Hamburg University of Technology from 2009 to 2010, where they earned an Allgemeine Ingenieurwissenschaften degree. In October 2021, they obtained a NABCEP Board Certified PV Installation Professional certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners.
