Nidhi Thakar

Nidhi Thakar is the Director at Greentown Labs. Nidhi has also served as the Senior Director of Resource and Regulatory Strategy and External Engagement at Portland General Electric, the Interim Chief for Strategy and External Affairs at the California Public Utilities Commission, and the Director of the Board of Directors at E4TheFuture.

Throughout their career, Nidhi has focused on decarbonization, electrification, and providing customers clean energy choices while ensuring safe and reliable service. Nidhi has conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on energy law issues, prepared and filed motions to intervene in FERC litigation, and developed strategies to advance the clean energy transition.

Nidhi is a leading voice in the clean energy space, and their work has helped shape policy and regulations at the state and federal level. Nidhi is passionate about accelerating the transition to a clean energy economy, and their work is making a meaningful impact on the fight against climate change.

Nidhi Thakar has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Lewis & Clark Law School, as well as a certificate in Environment and Natural Resources Law. Her field is environmental law. Nidhi also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from the University of Maryland in political science and government. Nidhi is certified by the D.C. Bar Association in District of Columbia Bar, and by the Oregon State Bar in Oregon Bar.
