Aghogho Avanoma has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. They began their career at Degeconek Nigeria Limited in 2008 as a Senior Petrophysicist, where they provided support for logging operations, reservoir studies, and well performance evaluations. Aghogho Avanoma also worked on reservoir optimization and recovery, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as reservoir engineering, drilling, and geoscience. They prepared detailed petrophysical analysis from different log suites to provide data for reserves calculation.
In 2014, Aghogho Avanoma joined Dubri Oil Company Limited as the Head of the Exploration Desk. They held this role until 2021, being responsible for overseeing exploration activities within the company.
Currently, Aghogho Avanoma serves as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Greenville LNG. In this position, they implement a strategic vision for the company's growth and identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon fields for long-term gas development and utilization. They also identify and manage investment opportunities across Nigeria and the West African Bloc.
Aghogho Avanoma earned a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Delta State University in Abraka, Nigeria. This educational journey took place from 2004 to 2007.
