Otu Umoren has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Starting in 2001, Otu worked as an Industrial Relations Manager at Transocean, where they handled compensation surveys, negotiations, and employee/industrial relations. They then moved on to Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) in 2002, serving as a Senior Human Resource Adviser.

In 2006, Otu joined Nutricima Ltd as the Head of Human Resources. After four years, they transitioned to GE Energy, where they first served as a Human Resources Client Support and later as a Human Resource Manager for Nigeria. Otu was responsible for ensuring the consistent application of HR policies throughout the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

At Cadbury Nigeria PLC, Otu served as the Human Resource Manager for the Integrated Supply Chain in West Africa. This role involved overseeing HR initiatives and acting as the first point of contact for people-related issues. They then joined Fugro as a Human Resources Consultant, where they handled various HR matters, such as compliance analysis, union disputes, and the development of HR strategy.

Following that, Otu worked at Unilever as the HRBP Supply Chain/Industrial Relations Manager. In this role, they provided strategic advice, counseled directors on people management aspects, and facilitated organizational development and change management.

Otu's most recent position was as the Human Resources Director at Greenville LNG, where they managed performance, conducted training needs assessments, and assisted with various HR issues related to IFC/World Bank, unions, ministries, and professional bodies.
