Gustavo Libanio is a Brazilian businessman who currently serves as a council member at Greif. Gustavo has over 20 years of experience in the corporate world, holding various positions such as managing director, general director, and operations/finance manager.
Libanio began their career in 1999 as an operations manager at Rexam. Gustavo was promoted to finance manager after just two years and served in that role for five years. In 2006, they were promoted again to chief operating officer, a position they held for 2.5 years before leaving the company.
In 2007, Libanio joined Indiana Tube Corporation as their general director. Gustavo served in that role for four years before moving on to Refrex Brasil - Grupo HNR, where they again served as general director for just under a year.
In 2012, Libanio joined Qualipac as their managing director. Gustavo held that position for six years before being appointed to their current role at Greif in 2018.
Gustavo Libanio was educated at the ESCP Business School, where they studied business administration. Gustavo then went on to earn their MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. After that, they attended the Ashridge Executive Education program at Hult International Business School, where they focused on leadership and talent development. Finally, they earned their second MBA from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazil.
