Conor Finan

Conor Finan is the current Vice President of Finance at Gretel.ai. Conor has over 9 years of experience in finance and accounting, including positions at Brainly, Avero, and Blackbaud.

Conor started their career at Blackbaud in 2013 as Director of Finance and Accounting. In this role, they were responsible for the financial operations of two businesses: Blackbaud and EverydayHero. Conor oversaw the implementation of Netsuite ERP in both businesses and established a SOX-compliant finance function in both locations. Conor also managed liquidity, cash flow forecasting, FX, and sales partnering.

In 2016, Conor left Blackbaud to become the Director of Finance at Avero. In this role, they were responsible for the financial operations of Avero LLC, a leading provider of SaaS analytic applications and specialized services to the Hospitality industry. Conor processed more than $30 billion in annual food & beverage transactions and served over 50,000 users in 75 countries.

In 2019, Conor left Avero to join Brainly as Vice President of Finance. In this role, they were responsible for series C and D funding rounds totaling $111 million. Conor also oversaw the financial operations of Brainly, a leading education technology company.

Conor has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Conor Finan has an ACA from Chartered Accountants Ireland, a Master's in Business Administration and Management from University College Dublin, and a Bachelor of Corporate Law Degree from National University of Ireland, Galway. Conor also has certification from Chartered Accountants Ireland in both Association of Chartered Accountants and Certified Public Accountant.
