Lou-Ann Raymond has over seven years of experience in the engineering field. Lou-Ann began their career in 2014 as an Intern at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, where they implemented a command blending function of a robotic arm, and worked on shared control between the JACO arm and the user. Lou-Ann then moved to the Vrije Universiteit Brussel as a Research Development Software Engineer, where they worked on a Matlab simulator to test the performance of the path planning generation strategies, and a web-app to visualize real time data and communicate remotely with the LabView controller. In 2015, Lou-Ann Raymond joined Imperial College London as a Research Development Software Engineer, where they worked on implementing an eye based wheelchair controller and designing an interface using a Kinect, as well as image processing. Lou-Ann then moved to Blatchford in 2016 as a Mechatronics Engineer. In 2018, Lou-Ann Raymond joined STEM Learning UK as a STEM ambassador. In 2019, they joined Humanising Autonomy as an Embedded AI Engineer and HyBird Technologies as a Mechatronics Engineer. Currently, Lou-Ann Raymond is the Head of Hardware at Greyparrot.
Lou-Ann Raymond completed a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Université libre de Bruxelles between 2010 and 2013. Lou-Ann then went on to pursue three Master's degrees in the fields of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2013 and 2015. In 2015, they also completed a Master's degree in Neurotechnology from Imperial College London.
