Tony Payne

Tony Payne has diverse work experience in various legal roles. Tony is currently serving as the General Counsel at GRID esports since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Marathon Runner and Brand Ambassador at ASICS Corporation starting from July 2019. From November 2016 to July 2018, they worked as a Senior Legal Counsel at Genius Sports. Before that, they worked at Bell Gully as a Solicitor from November 2012 to August 2016, and as a Law Clerk from March 2012 to November 2012. Tony also gained legal experience through secondment positions at Asahi Beverages (April 2015 to August 2015) and Woolworths Supermarkets (December 2014 to March 2015). Additionally, Tony worked as a Summer Clerk at Bell Gully from November 2010 to February 2011.

Tony Payne attended Kings High School from 2002 to 2006. From 2007 to 2011, they studied at the University of Otago, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a focus on Law, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a specialty in Geography.
