Shangyou Hao

Shangyou Hao has extensive work experience in the energy and utility consulting industry. Shangyou first worked at Pacific Gas & Electric Co. from 1988 to 1997, where they served as a System Engineer, managing load forecasting applications and developing tools for transmission planning. Shangyou then joined Dell in 1997 as an Integration Specialist, where they developed and integrated systems infrastructure for the California Independent System Operator (CAISO). At EEE Consulting, Inc., they provided market readiness services and operational efficiency consulting for WAPA from 2004 to 2009. From 2009 to 2014, Shangyou worked at UISOL as a Consultant, managing demand response inventories for the ISO/RTO Council and working on demand response roadmaps for TXU Energy and Direct Energy. Shangyou then moved to PA Consulting in 2015 as a Principal Consultant, focusing on utility and energy consulting, including business strategy, energy markets, and technical assessments. Currently, Shangyou is working at GridBright as a Principal Consultant, assisting clients with interconnection processes and renewable energy integration.

Shangyou Hao obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from an undisclosed institution, during the period of 1978 to 1982. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Systems, at The Ohio State University, from 1982 to 1988.
