Konrad Hanschmidt

Konrad Hanschmidt is currently the Cofounder and CEO of GridIO, a position they have held since May 2018. Prior to that, they worked at BHP Billiton from February 2017 to May 2018 as the Manager of Energy and Technology Research and Analysis. Before that, from August 2014 to January 2017, they served as the Senior Market Analyst for Renewables, Electric Vehicles, Power, and Carbon Markets at the same company. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, including Head of Carbon Market Analysis from March 2013 to June 2014, Lead Analyst for EU ETS from June 2011 to March 2013, EU ETS Analyst from October 2009 to June 2011, and Global Carbon Market Analyst from November 2008 to October 2009.

Konrad Hanschmidt pursued their educational journey starting in 2005 when they enrolled at the University of Liverpool. Konrad focused on Business Studies and worked diligently to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree, which they successfully completed in 2008.

Eager to expand their knowledge and expertise further, Konrad then joined City, University of London in 2008. Over the span of three years, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Energy, Environmental Technology and Economics. Konrad demonstrated their dedication to these subjects and successfully graduated in 2011.

Throughout their education, Konrad focused on business studies initially before shifting their academic focus towards energy, environmental technology, and economics.
