Raoul Tufnell has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Raoul started their career as a Graduate Planner at Severnside Recycling in 2004, where they coordinated waste accounts for major retailers and implemented sustainable waste strategies. In 2006, they joined Hyder Consulting as a Planner and gradually progressed to Senior Planner and Principal Consultant roles. At Hyder Consulting, they provided planning expertise and contributed to various projects. In 2013, Tufnell joined BELECTRIC UK as the Development and Planning Manager, responsible for overseeing the development and planning of projects. Raoul later became the Head of Development and Planning. In 2016, they moved to PLANDEV as a Director, and in 2017, they assumed the role of Chief Development Officer at GRIDSERVE. In this role, they lead a team responsible for delivering electric vehicle and energy generation infrastructure. Tufnell's experience includes budget definition, process refinement, and leadership of development teams.

Raoul Tufnell obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Geography from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 2004. Raoul then pursued a Master of Science degree in Planning at the same institution from 2007 to 2009.
