Xingbin Lin

Xingbin Lin has a diverse background in the field of building energy efficiency and control systems. From 2007 to 2010, Xingbin worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Tongji University, where they developed a hardware-in-the-loop test bed for HVAC control strategies and conducted energy analysis for various buildings. From 2010 to 2013, Xingbin continued their research as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, focusing on developing demand controlled ventilation strategies for multiple zone HVAC systems. Following this, Xingbin joined Nexant as a Senior Project Engineer in 2013, where they led technical reviews of energy efficiency programs and provided engineering support for program design and operations. Since 2017, Xingbin has been working at Gridsum Holding Inc. as the Director of Data Science, leading a multidisciplinary team to develop building technology products and implement machine learning algorithms to improve energy efficiency.

Xingbin Lin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which was obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University between 2007 and 2010. Xingbin's Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Architectural Engineering was earned from Nanjing Tech University from 2003 to 2007. In addition, they obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification in January 2016.
