Dan currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Gridtential Energy, where they lead a team of Battery Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Material Scientists. Dan'sresponsibilities include developing fundamental technologies to meet market needs and ensuring that products are validated for performance, safety, and recyclability. Prior to this role, Dan held the position of Engineering Manager at Gridtential, where they demonstrated flexibility and resourcefulness in a fast-paced startup environment. As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, they oversaw the development of battery packaging and implemented design optimizations. Dan's career at Gridtential began as a Mechanical Engineer, where they gained expertise in battery design, testing, and data analysis. Dan'snotable contribution was the design and validation of a sealing architecture for silicon-based battery technology. Dan started their professional journey as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, focusing on battery casing design and theoretical performance modeling. Before joining Gridtential, Dan worked at Santa Clara University as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant, gaining experience in laboratory experiments, grading, and research on battery technology.
